Alpine Wings was founded by Robert Buchbauer together with Captain Andrea Gatto, combining long-standing business leadership with deep aviation expertise.

Robert Buchbauer
Founding & Managing Partner
Robert Buchbauer combines international business leadership with a passion for aviation. Drawing on decades of executive experience, he guides Alpine Wings with a clear focus on safety, service excellence and long-term strategic development. As Founding & Managing Partner, he is responsible for the company’s commercial strategy, business development and client relationships, helping shape the premium experience that defines Alpine Wings.
Andrea Gatto
Accountable manager
Andrea Gatto brings more than three decades of aviation experience and strategic leadership to Alpine Wings. As Chief Pilot and Co-Founder, he oversees flight operations, crew training, operational compliance and safety management across the organisation. Drawing on extensive experience as an aircraft commander, examiner and training captain, he helps ensure the highest standards of professionalism, reliability and operational excellence across every aspect of the business.
Eleonora Esposito
OPERATIONS & ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT
Eleonora Esposito supports the daily coordination of Alpine Wings operations. From administrative processes and scheduling to client and operational support, she helps ensure smooth and efficient service across all areas of the business.

Andrea Gatto
Chief Pilot
With more than 10,000 flight hours and over three decades of flying experience, Andrea is one of the most accomplished pilots within the Alpine Wings team. His career includes executive charter operations, air ambulance missions, humanitarian flights, aerial firefighting and specialised aviation services across Europe, Africa and Asia.
A highly qualified training captain, examiner and flight instructor, he brings exceptional expertise, leadership and professionalism to every mission, ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.
Jasmin Mesetovic
Captain
With more than 4,000 flight hours, including extensive experience on the King Air B200, our second captain brings a wealth of expertise as an aircraft commander, crew training manager and flight operations leader. Throughout his career, he has held senior operational and training positions within executive aviation and charter organisations across Europe.
His background in flight instruction, crew training and operational management ensures the highest level of professionalism, leadership and reliability on every mission.
Andrea Abagnato
First Officer
With more than 2,800 flight hours, our first officer combines operational flying expertise with advanced qualifications in pilot training and compliance oversight. A certified flight instructor, instrument rating instructor and examiner, he is type-rated on the King Air BE90/99/100/200 family and brings valuable experience both in the cockpit and in crew development.
Fluent in multiple languages, he contributes to the high standards of safety, professionalism and continuous improvement that characterise Alpine Wings.
Francesco Gatto
First Officer
With approximately 1,600 total flight hours, including around 500 hours on the King Air B200 and 800 hours on the Pilatus PC-6, our first officer brings solid operational experience and a strong commitment to professional excellence. As a qualified commercial pilot and flight instructor, he combines technical proficiency with a disciplined and safety-focused approach to flight operations.
Representing the next generation of aviation professionals, he contributes to the safe, efficient and personalised service that defines every Alpine Wings mission.
